I haven’t been to San Francisco in 3 years and each experience has been unique. In fact, every other visit either puts me off from or makes me fall in love with the city. This time it seems less charming than the last, with aggressively verbal homeless people and reports of beatings in the downtown tourist area near where we’re staying. We prefer to stay near Fisherman’s Wharf, but will be stuck in this area until Friday due to the conference Anne is attending.
Visiting the city in May is a new experience for us. We’ve always been here in autumn when the city has its warmest temperatures, but this time of year it is actually quite chilly. Highs this week will be around 60 with lows in the 50’s. Luckily it’s not supposed to rain and I like cool weather (though it has been pretty windy).
Anne and I were out walking (once I was able to drag her away from work) and ended up in Union Square where we saw the oddest thing; a rooster (or chicken?) roaming around with the pigeons. Anne had me snap a pic as well as one of a puffed up pigeon who apparently thought it was odd that we were there.

Wednesday morning it’s off to see if I can snap some foggy morning bridge photos. We’ll see if the fog cooperates.
