We just returned from a family trip to Manhattan. My traveling companions on this journey were Anne, Rob, Meg, Gab, Joe, Tommy (my son-in-law) and Roman (Gab’s boyfriend).
With eight of us on this trip, logistics were bit difficult but we managed. Luckily we were able to sort things out and get where we needed to on transit, which was good considering all the sore feet in our group. It also kept raining on us so it was a challenge to stay dry.
We ended up doing a lot of things I’d never done before, even with all my trips to the city. I discovered that I just don’t ‘get’ the subway system, that the buses in New York are actually pretty good while the ones in Newark are less pleasant, that the Staten Island Ferry is wonderful and the New Jersey Transit train between Newark and Manhattan is marvelous.
Anyway, enjoy these few photos from the trip along with the knowledge that we’re all very tired and very glad to be home.
